I recently listened to a conference call with Dustin Wisnowski. It was a value packed call and I was grateful to listen. Dustin shared 6 tips for success.

1)Focus. Focus on simple strategies and perfect them. Practice them every day. After you’ve perfected them, add a new strategy. Stick to 1 new strategy at a time.

2)KISS. Keep it simple and stupid. Don’t overthink things

3)Vision. Have a clear and precise vision.

I’ve often wondered, “How’s my Vision?” I’ve never really heard a really known if I was doing it “right”

I’ve heard Ray Higdon, Brian Fanale, Eric Worre, John Pyonteck, and many other Entrepreneurs use this term. I used to think vision was just having an idea and plan where I wanted to go. Since I’ve joined Jeff Lerner, I’ve been able to learn more on this topic.

Most people think Adversity is a bad thing. Most people are wrong!

I recently listened to a conference call, featuring Ron Gelok. adversity

Ron spoke about adversity and he had some great points, that I’d like to share.

As Entrepreneurs and even just human beings, we are clay. Adversity molds us into something of value.

If you aren’t willing to be molded, you will NEVER reach that place of value. When we find something uncomfortable, many people just skip over this or avoid it. That’s a shame..Pain when working out, is a good thing!  You only grow by fighting through the adversity.

Every time we do the uncomfortable activity, it gets easier and easier and we are growing. Another example from Ron, when metal is formed into a sword, the sword is placed in fire first, very hot, then the metal is pounded as its molded into a sword. Then he places the sword back into the fire. While the sword is in the fire, the impurities come to the surface, the blacksmith scoops these impurities out. Then he pulls the sword back out of the fire and pounds and molds it more. Then, after much work and molding, the sword is perfected!

It’s during the most adverse times that we grow the most. We gain the most strength!

If you’re not willing to go through adversity, then we are not willing to receive the gift of strength.  Be present in this process and be grateful. Have gratitude. When Jesus and the apostles started  sharing the word of the lord, they faced much adversity, and they were grateful for this.

When you’re on the brink of breakthrough is when the adversity is the greatest. You must push through this! I’ve experienced this working on my blog, dealing with tech issues. But I realized, I must push through the tech challenges online. Push through the fire. And I will be much better off, in multiple ways, by doing this. When I implement as I go, I am being stretched and molded, a la molding clay.

I’m excited to be serving my community in an abundantly excellent way!  I am making a significant impact on  many communities. Entrepreneurs, family and friends, and more importantly, the world!

The topic for today is “Copy Your Way to the Top” and what in the world does that mean?

All through school we are taught copying is wrong and will be punished.  Yet most people don’t stop to think that is all we are ever taught.  Learn the lesson in class, regurgitate for the test and repeat until you graduate.  All you are ever taught is to copy what you learned and you will pass.  And the most successful people in the world use this every day to reach the top of their game.  Whether it’s a professional sports figure who learned to make the perfect shot from a coach, a business professional who learned the tricks of the trade from a mentor boss or a new mother taking tips from her mom and friends.  We all copy ever day because it works!

So the acronym for this post is COPY. C is for company, O is for opportunity, P is for product and Y is for yourself.

Anyone can copy their way to the top and it all starts with you.

You have to believe in the company you work for and more importantly the company you keep.  Seek out a company that you believe in and immerse yourself in the company of positive people who believe in you.

Believe in the opportunity with your company and the abundance that surrounds everyone. There is opportunity to rise to the top of any organization if you copy the ACTIONS of those who already have reached the top.  And the more you look for and seek out opportunity the more you will find.

P for product means you have to trust in, believe and use the produce or service you are selling.  If you don’t believe in the product find one you do.  Then simply copy the actions of the most successful people and you will have the same results. And it is that really that simple.

The most important thing is the Y.  You have to believe in yourself.  You and only you are standing in the way of your success.  Air travel, the light bulb and the computer you are reading this on are all here because the people who created them THOUGHT about it and made it real.  Even when great obstacles where in there way because they believed in themselves and refused to quit.

So find some who is doing what YOU want to do.  Find out exactly what the did to reach the top.

Then COPY there actions and you will find you have copied you way to the top.

So you’ve built a website and worked hard to market yourself or your product and you’ve received Internet leads…. Now what???   Many people are uncomfortable speaking on the phone, and this is often due to lack of communication skills.

Here’s some communication skills to help you through this.

  • Before you call a lead, research the area code. Maybe you’re familiar with this area. “are you from XXXX?” or “where are you originally from?” Or work with Family Occupation Recreation and Motivation to find out how to help the lead.  Building a rapport goes a long way to securing a relationship with the lead. But don’t overdue the building a rapport thing, you can over do it. This gets annoying to the lead
  • “How may I help you? “why did you opt in to my website” “what are you having trouble with?” are all good examples of what to ask an Internet lead.

Bottom Line, not only should you be thinking about how best to serve your leads and team mates, but this should be your waking thought every day, “Whom shall I serve today?”

Do you often wonder how to accomplish everything you want to accomplish? A Planning Process is the Key!

When you have a home business, often times, you have many distractions and forces pulling you in many different ways. For me, I have my family, my job, my pets, and many outdoor activities, pulling me in different directions. I learned years ago, that a planning process is key in helping me accomplish what I need to accomplish

A Proper Planning process, takes into account personal life, your business and your JOB. For me, if I didn’t have a planning process, I’d be much less productive

I have broken down my main business activities into a few key actions. I plan these activities out on Sunday morning. Every week, I plan the next week and review the previous week. I break down my non-negotiable activities into small chunks of time. I then place these activities onto my planner and into my Google Calendar. I keep my planner with me, at all times. Are you looking to Leverage the Internet for your business and not sure how? Blogging is the answer!

If you’re like me and most entrepreneurs, the answer is YES. But there’s SO MANY tools and programs for blogging, where do I start? Where to start is what slows most people from taking that first step..Here’s my product review of what I’m using.

The search that led me to blogging started last February when I was visiting with Ray Higdon for a cup of coffee. Blogging

I was in Fort Myers and I had reached out to Ray about a meeting. I was excited to get an opportunity to meet Ray and pick his brain. I’m committed to building a massive business and whom better to turn to for advice, but Ray Higdon. He’s grown a massive business in under 10 years. Earning over 4 million per year leveraging the internet via blogging  and teaching others to do the same.

I prepared a list of questions, revolving around what I was currently doing and what I wanted to achieve.

It was abundantly clear quickly, that the next step for my business was attraction marketing via blogging. Now I knew what I needed to do, but I wasn’t clear how...

I dragged my feet for 9 months, knowing what I needed to do for my business, but not being sure how to do it..

Then, I watched yet another webinar from Ray. But this one was different, he laid out the blue print for blogging. Ray also had created a training product called “The 3 Minute Expert” to help me get started.  Ray originally perfected blogging for his Real Estate business. Now he’s utilizing it for network marketing.

Getting people started quickly, is one of the 4 pillars of having a successful mlm business.

 

If you’re business is like mine, than the business is built for speed. And you need to be able to get new partners started quickly, if you have any hopes of success. IF a new partner is not earning money in his first 28 days, odds are good, that they will not be around for very long. This is what usually leads to high attrition rates in mlm companies.

When I get someone started, I first sit with them, in person if possible, otherwise, over the phone.

  1. First thing we do to get someone started, is enroll the new team member. (5 minutes)
  2. Now I assist in setting up the banking for the new member. It helps to get paid!(5 minutes)
  3. Now the new member is ready for University. Your business may or may not have a similar step. My partners need to be compliant with many energy regulations. (30 minutes)
  4. The training starts here. First thing is to develop a strong why. Your why is the most important step in success. It must be strong, if you are to overcome obstacles. It can’t be “Money”. More like, money to do what and why?
  5. Here I show the partner how to contact others and invite them to see your business. There is an art to this step. This, to me, is the step  you need to spend the most time on. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT(10 minutes)
  6. Show The Program. This is called an exposure. The partner is showing the prospect the business plan, in my company this is by video.(5 minutes)
  7. The last item I train a new partner for, is goal setting. I help set up 90, 60 and 30 day goals. We then also set daily and weekly goals. We also discuss the next 14 days in detail. I let my new partner know, He/She is going to be in contact with me, every day over the next 2 weeks. I ask if this is ok.(15 minutes)

That’s all I teach on the first training meeting. I only throw what is relevant, right now, at the new partner. This way the partner is not overwhelmed, as they often are anyways.

If you’re like MOST people, you set goals and have a hard time staying on task and completing goals. In my studies of people like Eric Worre and Ray Higdon(among many others), I’ve learned a few simple Time Management Skills for accomplishing your daily tasks, to set you on your way to success If you don’t have the proper approach to reaching your destination, you will end up down the wrong road(See Below and watch all the way, you won’t be disappointed!)

Good Time Management Skills starts with breaking down your goals, to smaller tasks or activities.  I recommend coming up with 4 or 5 essential, non-negotiable, activities. Act like your boss will fire you, if you don’t complete these activities.

  1. Be Very Specific. You must be very specific in creating your daily activities.
  2. Determine how much time is necessary to complete these tasks. Then break them down into 15-30 minute chunks
  3. Plug these tasks into your schedule. If you don’t use a schedule, SHAME ON YOU! You are supposed to be a professional and you’re not using a schedule of some type yet? No wonder you don’t have Time Management Skills
  4. The night before, examine and plan the following day. This is NOT just looking at your calendar. If you’re calling 5 people, write the actual 5 people down that you’re calling. Specifically PLAN your entire day. YES, you can do this. If you work from 9 to 5 and have kids to take to activities, and you’re not going to be home till 8 PM… You still have time to work a home business. TIME IS NO EXCUSE.  What are you doing on your drive to work? How about on the way home? You have time for 5 short phone calls. You have time at night to show your business opportunity over the phone.
  5. Start your day and your day with mind set activities. Mind set is one of the most important parts of being successful. My morning schedule consists of 10 minutes of meditation/visualization, reviewing my affirmations, and at least 20 minutes of personal development/Mind setting. When I’m able to work from home, I also exercise for 20-30 minutes

Having a hard time with that? Just start with living into where you’d like to be 1 year from now. Have you created  your 2016 plan yet? You MUST complete your past and let it go. Who’s hurt you? Who’s told you no? These actions don’t define you. Get complete and move on. You need a clearing for something new! Otherwise, the past, comes with you into the present and creates the future for you…. Huh?? Yes, that’s correct.
