So, in Parts 1-4 of Your Home Business Success Strategies, we covered
the importance of a domain name, a lead capture page, and autoresponders.
Today, in Part 5, let’s talk about the first page your new lead sees, immediately
after opting in to your Landing Page, or Lead Capture Page – your Thank You
Page.
Now some people use what’s called a “Bridge Page”, to welcome a new
subscriber to their Marketing Funnel, before they move on to their Thank
You Page.  In short, a Bridge Page is a website that welcomes someone new to taking
a look at you, your company, your product, or your opportunity, but only
after they’ve opted in. It’s usually positioned between a Landing Page, and a Sales Page, and can
have a video of yourself on it, some written copy, photos, audio, even testimonials
– pretty much anything to warm up your visitors and prepare them for what’s
on the next page.
Now, most Network Marketing Companies & Direct Sales Companies don’t
allow for you to customize your own Sales & Marketing Funnels, simply
because they don’t understand true Internet Marketing.  This is also one of the reasons that a large
percentage of MLM Distributors
& Reps make little to no money in their businesses.  Of course, this not the
only reason, but it’s certainly up there as one of the biggest ones.

A big part of it is that nobody is teaching them this stuff, and so they still
use very old, worn out advertising & marketing strategies that don’t work
today like they did 3 or 4 decades ago.

So, getting back on track now, take note of this distinction:

When you market on Social Media, your friends, fans, and followers
all know, like, and probably trusts you more than they would trust a
complete stranger, so that when they click on your links, they are satisfying
their curiosity about what you are doing.

If they like what they see, they will probably contact you and become
a prospect.

In a cold market, someone who finds your site by clicking on a link they
found online or in their email, is not your friend yet.

So, the Bridge Page makes a HUGE difference when they go to the next
page in your funnel, called, your “Thank You Page”.

Now, the Thank You Page, is a Sales Page. There is no other way to say it.

The page could have a combination of audio, video, and text, and lots of
images, for what’s called Social Proof.

It should also have these things: a Headline, possibly even a Pre-Headline,
a Sub-Headline, a message body, and of course, a Call to Action to get a
visitor to become a customer.

The bottom line, is that the Thank You Page is designed to do one thing;
make sales.

Whether it tells a story, lists out features & benefits, makes comparisons
to other products, services, or companies…

… if the Thank You Page is not good, it won’t matter how good your
Domain is, how much traffic you send to your Landing Page, how many
leads you get into your Autoresponders, or how good your Follow Ups
are.

So, be sure when choosing the right home based business, that you align
with a Company, Product, and Opportunity that understands what a great
Thank You Page is, and that it converts Leads, into Customers (or Sales).

Because at the end of the day, that’s all that matters.

That your business is making sales, making you money, and building a
long term, sustainable income for you and your family.

I’m probably not placing enough importance on this email – so all I will say,
is this:

I do not do ANYTHING, unless it’s 100% legitimate, professional, and high
integrity.

And, of course, sexy, fun, and highly profitable 😉

Think about that for a second.

[Part 4 of 7]  Your Home Business Success Strategies

If you are a student of success like I am, and already have a home based
business – or you would like to have one – then perhaps you’ve already
heard kind of an old, often used, but very true cliche that says…

… “The fortune is in the follow up”. 

Now “Follow Up” could mean several things but follow me here;

After speaking with a prospect about buying your product or service,
or joining you in business, it’s a good idea to set up another appointment.

But not an appointment where you call to follow up.

An appointment where your prospect follows up with you. 

Here’s my short take on that (My long take we are going to speak about
this week on a LIVE Webcast my friends & I are hosting. You
should come on and meet my friends. They are also my business partners
and we are building a brand new company together.

I’ll send more about this soon…

In the meantime, just know this. 

If you’re going to speak to anyone about any aspect of any business,
just make sure that they are looking for you, just as much as you are
looking for them.

That’s worth a second read:

And after your first meeting, if you are going to do business with someone,
most often, the right ones always call you back.

So yes, follow up, have a second conversation – but make sure that it’s your
prospect who understands that it’s they who have the opportunity, and will
want to follow up if they feel it’s a good match.

If they are even getting the opportunity, that should already tell them that
the person showing it them, thinks enough about them, to make the presentation,
no matter how that presentation is delivered.

That is a HUGE key to success, and my friends & I have everything but
MASTERED this selling point.

Again, stuff we will be taking about on this weeks hangout.

Now while most text book sales manuals say to set the appointment to
call your prospect again to find out what they thought, to me, that requires
way more “selling” than marketing, which is also way more “work” than
is necessary.

I prefer my leads, prospects and customers come to me.

With my members, clients, and teammates, it’s very different.

But when you are doing business from home on the internet, it’s much
more sensible, and profitable, to have your leads, prospects, and customers,
come to you, in a way that they “want” to come to you.

And this is why, when the marketing is done right, the selling part
is a piece of cake – because very little is actually required. 

Think about that for a second.

Now, “Follow Up” can also mean that once someone opts in to your Lead
Capture Page to take a look at what you’re doing, that you have already
scheduled, automated email follow ups that begin going out to your Leads
& Prospects, right into their Inbox, daily.

So, for this example, Part 4 of our 7 Part Home Based Business Strategies
Series, the fortune is absolutely, 100% in the follow up, because having an
automated re-marketing, or follow up campaign set up is a critical thing for
big, and long term success.

That’s why you want an online platform called, an Autoresponder. 

It’s a fairly simple tool that we marketers use, but it’s importance in your
business is paramount.  You simply cannot operate without one.

Now, in a nutshell, her’s what an Autoresponder allows you to do: 

#1 – It allows you to store the name, email, and many other pieces of data
about your leads, prospects, customers, members, clients, or anyone who
market or sell to.

#2 – It allows you to send a follow up series of email messages, called
campaigns, to anyone who subscribes to your list. (They can also unsubscribe
at any time by clicking on a link in your follow ups).

#3 – It allows you to create one off broadcast messages, to make an announcement,
start a promotion, promote a LIVE Event, make a special offer, or whatever you like.

So, you see, Autoresponders are a super important part of your home based
business success strategies.

Without them, you would miss some tremendous opportunities to build your
business and it would never last long term.

important it is to learn from others, who have already built some very successful
business using these same bits of knowledge.

Ok, so now that you know what a domain name is, (explained in Part 2
of this Series)…… the next step to having a profitable marketing funnel, is to make sure
that your domain name, is forwarded to your Lead Capture Page, Landing
Page, or Squeeze Page.
This page has several different names, but no matter what you call it,
it’s function is to capture the email addresses of people who come to
your page, looking at either your product, your business opportunity,
or both.If you plan on making money online, you want to build a list of subscribers
who have “opted in” to view your offer, and having a Lead Capture Page
is critical in order to build one.If you do not use a Lead Capture Page, you will minimize your success
and your profit potential tremendously,
 because you will never be able
to have your automated follow ups & one time broadcast messages re-market
to your subscribers (also called “leads”), and enrich the relationship that
you are building with them, before they buy.Now, a great Lead Capture Page should have several parts to it – making
it a scientifically predictable way to share your sales message with your
target market.Your Page should start with a Pre-Headline, followed by a Headline, followed
by a Sub-Headline.

Then, you should have at least a video or some sales copy, or both, that
describes and explains your offer and gives a few compelling reasons for
your website visitor to give you their email address, in return for the Information
that you are offering to them.

Some home based business marketers call this, “the bribe”.

You give me your email address and I’ll give you what you want.

Of course, knowing exactly what your target market wants, is half the
batte in becoming successful.

In future messages, I will share with you exactly how to know what
people want – and just simply offer it to them.

When you do this correctly – you will make sales hand over fist.

Remember, when the marketing is done right, the selling part is a
piece of cake, because very little is actually required.

More about this too, in future messages.

But back to your Landing Page…

Photos are not necessary, however, you would have to test to see which
version of your Landing Page (with or without photos), converts more
of its visitors into Leads.

You will then use the one that performs the best, and then try to beat out
the conversion numbers with even another version.

This is called “Testing & Tweaking”, unit you can get the best possible “Click
to Lead” conversion. 

An “ok” Lead Capture Page should convert at least 10% of it’s visitors into leads.

A good Lead Capture Page will convert 25% of it’s visitors into leads.

A very good Lead Capture Page will converts 50% of it’s visitors into leads.

An excellent Lead Capture Page will convert 65-85% of it’s visitors into leads.

And I think that’s about the best I’ve ever seen – about 85%.

Just keep in mind that conversion is based on many, many variables, including
the market that you are sharing your page with. 

For example, in a cold market, these people don’t know you – yet – so the opt-in
rate takes a lot more experience to get into the higher percentages.

With a Social Media or Warm Market promotion, your target market already knows,
likes, and trusts you (hopefully 😉 and will opt-in more often because of the already
existing relationship you have.

Overall, a successful Home Based Internet Business cannot survive without
a Lead Capture Page.

And although you always want to capture Leads, there are other strategies that
I share with my Members,
 where you can actually have your target market bypass
your Lead Capture Page, and go right to your Thank You Page, but still be re-marketed
to.

But that’s a whole different conversation for another day.

Right now, unless you are a seasoned veteran making a bunch of money online,
your best bet is to stick to what I’ve shared here before you get into the higher
level strategies that I will share in future messages.

Are you like millions of other business owners and struggle with attrition in business? The fact is, 8 out of every 10 people who join your business will quit. This is difficult for EVERYONE that has a business and this also happens to everyone, even the rockstars out there, like Bob Quintana, Ray Higdon and Eric Worre.

I also struggle with this and I was excited to catch a webinar by Eric Worre covering struggling with attrition in business.

With low barriers of entry, home businesses often struggle the most with this. To open your own low overhead, home based business, the cost is only $49 to start the process. So, if someone is struggling, it’s as easy to walk away as it was to start your business. Traditional businesses struggle less with this, due to the amount of investment. If someone invests $200,000 into a business franchise, they’re probably going to stick it out and struggle for awhile longer before they call it quits. Or maybe  you have to sign a 5 year lease, either way, you’re committed!

I’ve been in a spot, where I had a $250,000 credit line maxed out, equipment and truck loans for the next 5 years and other marketing commitments, on a struggling business! With EVERYTHING personally guaranteed. I WISHED I could just walk away… Like many people do with a home business.

Some factors to cut down on attrition in business are

  1. Proclaim yourself. Meaning, announce to your friends and family that you have a business and you’re going to be successful at it. State who you are and where you are headed. This puts a little more pressure on you to get into the game and step up to the plate.
  2. Be friends with your teammates. People join your business for you. So nurture those relationships. I’ve made many great, long lasting friends, through business, both online and offline.
  3. Great product experience. If someone lost a lot of weight or improved their health, this is an example of a great product experience.  If someone likes the products of their business, they’re more likely to stick in the business.
  4. Earn MONEY!! When someone joins you in business, make it your personal goal to earn them as much money as you can as quickly as possible! If someone is making money, they’re more likely to continue.
  5. Rank Advance. IF you someone ranks up and has something to be proud of, guess what? They’re more likely to feel like they need to continue.
  6. Build a Team! If someone has a team, they now have something they may regret walking away from. Their team needs them!
  7. Attend an event. When someone goes to an event, magic happens! They become believers.
